We’ve been developing UV disinfection devices for nearly a decade. After seeing a TV report in 2011 that the average smartphone was contaminated with fecal matter and other harmful bacteria, we began testing the surfaces of smartphones amidst cancer research and other studies while working towards our undergrad degrees. When we discovered that the TV report had been accurate in its claims, we set out to find a solution.
When thinking about disinfection, most people consider wipes and chemicals, which produce inconsistent and ineffective results. We knew there had to be a better way. Through harnessing the power of UV-C light, we had found the answer to our problem and an idea was born. After much trial and error, we finally landed on the safe and controlled environment that is PhoneSoap. Because keeping your devices clean shouldn’t be a chore, we combined our technology with an essential existing habit – charging your phone. Each of our UV sanitizing products come equipped with multiple USB ports for an easy and convenient experience.
Hand hygiene and device hygiene are inseparably connected. In the same way that you wouldn’t wash just one hand or a few fingers, you don’t want to clean just the screen of your phone. That’s why our patented 360-degree sanitation technology ensures germs and bacteria on every surface of your devices are killed.
We created PhoneSoap to bring proper sanitizing to the 21st century.
We’ve since expanded our product line to include HomeSoap - a larger sanitizer intended for tablets and household items, AirSoap – a filter-less air purifier, and the ExpressPro – a 30-second solution for professional and commercial environments like the medical, entertainment, retail, and food industries.
Our mission at PhoneSoap is to use technology and science to reduce the spread of infectious diseases and create a cleaner, healthier, more sustainable world through convenient and long-lasting products, saving time and eliminating the need for unnecessary waste and chemicals. Join us.
