Germs vs. The Playground

July 31, 2017 | By Adam Allen

Really fun fact: Did you know that public playgrounds are almost never cleaned or disinfected? This leaves a breeding ground for all types of bacteria.

There are many things that parents worry about when bringing their child to a public playground; injuries, unleashed dogs, bullies, and strangers. But believe it or not, germs are the most threatening. Keep playing but stay healthy! When changing your child’s diaper, only change in designated areas. Teach your kids to avoid putting their hands near or in their mouth and eyes while playing as best as they can.

Wash, wash, WASH your hands and your children’s hands. This simple habit is the most important and effective way to kill those nasty germs. We know that a little bacteria is healthy for the body but a lot or the wrong kind is not.
