PhoneSoap Baby troubleshooting: cycles, drying and loading.
Bottles still damp, a cycle that will not start, or a mode you did not mean to pick — the most common PhoneSoap Baby questions and what to do about each.
Try this first
- Check the lid is fully closed. Opening it stops the cycle immediately.
- Stand bottles opening-up toward the lamp in the lid, without stacking.
- Confirm which mode you are in — the screen shows the mode and the time remaining.
Cycles and modes
The cycle stopped partway through.
Opening the lid stops a running cycle at once — a safety feature, not a fault. Close the lid and press the mode you want to start again.
How do I stop or change a cycle?
Open the lid, or press the running mode's button again to cancel. Then close the lid and choose a mode to restart.
Which mode should I be using?
Auto runs drying and sanitizing together (51 or 61 minutes, with the last 11 sanitizing). Sanitize is UV-C only (11, 16, or 21 minutes). Dry is drying only (41 or 51 minutes). Store keeps items sanitized for up to 72 hours with a short cycle every 2 hours.
How do I know when it is done?
The screen counts down, and the unit beeps six times at the end before returning to standby.
Can I turn the end-of-cycle beeps off?
Not on the current firmware — the end-of-cycle chime is fixed. If the noise is a problem near a sleeping baby, run cycles outside the nursery and let us know: we are tracking this request.
Drying results
Bottles are still wet at the end of a cycle.
- Shake off standing water before loading — the dryer moves warm air, it does not boil off pooled water.
- Stand bottles opening-up so air reaches the inside.
- Do not stack or overfill; items must not touch the top cover or block the lamp.
- For heavy loads or thick silicone, use the longer Dry or Auto setting.
Can I dry my phone or other electronics in it?
No. Dry and Auto modes use heat and will damage electronics. Use Sanitize mode only for anything electronic.
Loading and fit
What fits inside?
Bottles up to 6.5 inches tall, standing opening-up, plus pacifiers, teethers, breast-pump parts, and similar small items. Nothing should touch the top cover or shade the lamp.
Part of a load did not get sanitized.
UV-C only reaches what it can see. Items that overlap, nest, or sit in another item's shadow will be missed. Spread the load out, leave gaps, and run it again.
