Toothbrush Sanitizer troubleshooting: battery and fan.
Most Toothbrush Sanitizer questions are about the battery or the dryer fan. Read the first item below before anything else if the back cover has come loose.
Try this first
- If the end cap or back cover has popped off, stop using the unit and do not charge it.
- Otherwise, charge it for 3 hours on a USB adapter you know works, then run a cycle.
- Check the fan vent for toothpaste residue or trapped water.
Battery
The back cover popped off, or the battery looks swollen.
Stop using the unit and do not charge it again. A swollen lithium cell should not be charged, pressed back in, punctured, or thrown in household trash.
- Keep it somewhere cool, dry, and away from anything flammable.
- Do not attempt to remove or replace the cell yourself.
- Contact us with your order number, the model number from the label, and a photo. We will sort out the replacement and tell you how to dispose of the old unit safely.
A charge only lasts a day or two now.
Runtime that has dropped sharply means the cell is at the end of its life. We do not sell a replacement battery for this unit — the cell is sealed into the housing. If the unit is within its warranty period, send us the order number and we will take care of it.
It will not charge at all.
Try a different cable and a different USB adapter, and make sure the charging port is free of toothpaste residue. Leave it 3 hours before testing. If nothing changes with a known-good cable, it is a service case.
Fan and drying
The fan does not run, or stops after a few seconds.
Check the vent for residue or water first and let the unit dry out fully if it has been rinsed. If the vent is clear, the unit is charged, and the fan still cuts out, that is a fault — send us the order number and a short video.
My toothbrush is still damp at the end.
Shake the brush off before loading, seat it head-up so air moves through the bristles, and leave the case closed until the cycle ends. A brush loaded soaking wet will not come out dry in one run.
Everyday use
It stopped working after I rinsed it out.
The unit is not waterproof — water in the housing can reach the board. Let it dry completely for 48 hours before trying again, and wipe it out with a damp cloth rather than rinsing in future. If it does not come back, contact us with your order number.
Which brushes fit?
Most Oral-B, Sonicare, and similar brush heads. Load the brush head-up so the UV-C light reaches the bristles.
The wall-mount adhesive will not hold.
Mount to a smooth, dry, non-textured surface and press for 30 seconds, then leave it an hour before hanging the unit. If the pad itself failed, ask us for a replacement.
Still stuck? Have your order number and the serial number from the label on your unit ready.
