Frequently Asked Questions
How do I charge my phone while using PhoneSoap?
With the PhoneSoap 3, there is a USB port in the back of the unit to plug in your charging cord. You can charge and sanitize simultaneously, and when the sanitizing cycle is complete, your phone will continue to charge.
Can I keep the case on my phone?
Yes! In fact, we encourage you to keep your phone case on your phone while you use any of the PhoneSoap units. Most of the bacteria on our hands is passed to our phone cases. Each PhoneSoap unit was designed to fit your phone with the case on. Frequently Asked Questions
What is PhoneSoap Shine and what does it do?
This two-in-one spray with a built-in microfiber cloth on its surface keeps your screen fresh after each use. It works for phone, tablet displays, glasses and other screens. Fingerprint marks fade away when you spray and wipe, along with oily spots and foggy traces. A smooth result stays behind - no lines, no haze. Most home sprays eat away at special screen layers over time. This one keeps those protections intact by design. Touch-sensitive faces stay safe, even after repeat use.
Can you use regular glass cleaner on a phone screen?
No. Most glass cleaners contain ammonia. That stuff might damage your screen coating over time. Phone screens need gentle care. Try using a microfiber cloth dampened with water instead. Harsh chemicals often cause more harm than good. Always check what the manufacturer suggests first.
How often should you clean your phone screen?
Every day, wipe off marks on your screen - do it again later if things get messy. When grime piles up, step in with a closer touch. Shine by PhoneSoap handles the dust and oils sitting up top. Alongside that, a PhoneSoap sanitizer provides a consistent UV-C cleaning cycle to help reduce unseen buildup over time. That light comes from a PhoneSoap sanitizer, working each morning. Together, they cover what hands leave behind. One clears the mess you see. The other removes what you do not.
Will screen cleaner spray damage my screen protector?
Most electronic-safe sprays, such as PhoneSoap Shine, work fine on exposed displays and protective layers - whether glass or thin film. Wipe using a soft cloth dampened with the solution instead of applying it straight to the surface. That way, moisture stays clear of openings where damage could happen. Protection types like frosted or private-view films might need special care. Look up what the product says before using.
Does cleaning your phone screen kill germs?
A quick wipe using a soft cloth removes fingerprints, oily marks and visible dust, but it does not fully address germs. Alcohol-based wipes (around 70%) can reduce many microbes, but results depend heavily on how they are used. Missed areas, uneven coverage or improper drying time can all limit their effectiveness.
UV-C light works differently. Instead of relying on technique, it delivers a consistent sanitizing cycle when the device is placed inside a PhoneSoap sanitizer. This reduces the risk of user error and helps ensure more reliable results with each use. For best results, both approaches work together: one keeps your screen looking clean, the other helps maintain a more consistently sanitized surface.
