Keep your AirSoap working like new

No filters to buy — just rinse the reusable plates. Here's how to do a quick standard clean and a periodic deep clean, start to finish.

Standard Cleaning

Collection Plate Cleaning

The quick rinse that keeps your air clean. Most homes do this about once every three months.

Do this when the top Auto light blinks red OR when you hear crackling
1

Power down & unplug

Always turn the unit off and unplug it before opening. The plates carry a charge in use.

2

Open the back case

Press in at the base of the rear panel and lift up on the handle near the top of the panel to release it.

3

Slide out the collection plates

Grip the handle and pull the graphene plate pack straight out of the unit.

4

Rinse with water

Rinse the plates under warm water. For heavier buildup, add a little mild dish soap. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasives.

5

Dry completely

Shake off excess water and let the plates air-dry fully. They must be 100% dry before going back in.

6

Reinsert & close

Slide the plates back in the correct orientation — arrows up — and close the back case until it seats and snaps in place.

7

Plug in & reset

Power on, then hold the Auto button for about 10 seconds until the light blinks to clear the reminder.

Deep Clean

Deep clean of all parts

A deep clean when you can't get the popping to stop after a standard clean or after heavy dust or smoke. Normally once or twice a year.

1

Power down & unplug

As always, fully unplug before opening the unit.

2

Open the case & remove the plates

Release the back panel and slide out the graphene collection and wireframe plates.

3

Lift out the removable silicone insert

The silicone insert houses the ionization frame and isolates it from the housing. Pull it out for cleaning.

4

Clean the emitter wireframe

Gently wipe the high-voltage emitter wires and frame with a soft brush or dry cloth. Take care not to bend or snag the wires.

5

Wash the silicone insert & plates

Rinse the silicone insert and the collection plates with water — a little mild soap is fine for buildup. Also wipe down the silicone piece on the back case.

6

Clean the pre-filter screen

Rinse or vacuum the pre-filter that catches hair, pet dander, and larger debris.

7

Wipe the air-quality sensor

Open the small sensor door and gently wipe around the sensor with a dry (or lightly alcohol-dampened) cotton swab. Avoid touching the circuit board.

8

Dry everything fully

Let every part air-dry completely before reassembly. Give it time — moisture and high voltage don't mix.

9

Reassemble, plug in & reset

Reinsert the silicone, the plates (top-up), and the pre-filter, close the case, power on, and hold Auto ~10 seconds to reset.

A few cleaning rules

  • Always power off and unplug before opening the unit.
  • Make sure every part is 100% dry before reassembling — never run AirSoap with damp components.
  • Use water or a little mild dish soap only. No bleach, solvents, or abrasive pads.
  • Be gentle with the emitter wireframe; bent wires affect performance.
  • An occasional crackle during use is normal — it's the system breaking down particles.
