Mold spores, captured and held
Mold releases microscopic spores (2–100 microns), and the most problematic black-mold spores can be small enough to skirt a HEPA filter's limit. Worse, spores caught in a damp HEPA filter can keep growing — turning the purifier itself into a mold spreader. Pollen, pet dander, and dust-mite debris are the most common indoor triggers — and the ultrafine fragments that carry the most reactive allergen proteins are small enough to slip through a 0.3-micron HEPA filter. AirSoap captures them down to 14.6 nm, and because the plates are washable they never become a reservoir of trapped allergens. Most people feel relief within 24–48 hours.

Cigarette smoke carries 7,000+ chemicals — at least 70 known carcinogens — in particles as small as 0.01 microns, well below HEPA's reach. AirSoap captures them down to 14.6 nm and breaks down the odors and VOCs, rather than letting tar and nicotine saturate a disposable filter that can re-release what it caught. Lower the load of common triggers
Indoor trigger levels can run 2–5× higher than outdoors, and the ultrafine particles under 0.1 micron reach the smallest airways where they do the most. AirSoap removes triggers across the size range and — critically for asthma — is ozone-free, since ozone can make symptoms worse. It's meant to complement your medication, not replace it.
Not just trapped — neutralized
Most viruses are 0.02–0.3 microns; influenza and coronaviruses sit around 0.08–0.12 — smaller than a HEPA filter reliably captures.
