Why is AirSoap so quiet?

Air purifier noise mostly comes from the fan — and the harder a fan has to work, the louder it gets. A traditional purifier pushes all its air through a dense HEPA filter, which fights the airflow. To hit its clean-air rating, the fan has to spin faster, so you hear motor whine and the rush of air forcing through the filter. Worse, as the filter loads with dust, resistance climbs and it gets louder over time.

AirSoap's TPA (Two-Pole Active) technology has no dense filter to push through. Air passes across charged collection plates with very little resistance, so the fan moves the same clean air while spinning slower and quieter — as low as 30 dB on its sleep setting. And because you rinse the plates instead of clogging a filter, it doesn't creep louder as it ages.
